Below you will find a list of class descriptions – all classes are suitable for every fitness level as Instructors will offer alternatives
50 Plus Workout / Fitness – This class includes a variety of aerobic and conditioning exercises, to benefit all round fitness, especially designed for more senior members.
30 minute work-out – A variety of aerobic and conditioning exercises, designed for those with half an hour to spare!
Body Bar Express – A power packed 30 minute strength session using weighted bars to help sculpt and tone the whole body.
Body Tone – After a lively warm-up, a class concentrating on toning exercises for total body conditioning. The use of weights or weighted bars and resistance-bands are an optional extra.
Bootcamp – A mega body blast session using a variety of equipment – not for the faint -hearted.
Boxercise – A stress busting, fun energetic boxing workout using pads and gloves.
Cardio Combat – This class uses boxing and body combat exercises and techniques toprovide an excellent all round, cardio (aerobic) and conditioning workout.
Chair Fit – A class suited to those with a physical impairement that require exercises in a sitting position and those who find streneous exercise too demanding.
Clubbercise – A fitness class that feels like a night out! Fun, easy to follow dance fitness routines, all set to club anthems from the 90’s up to current chart hits.
Complete Conditioning – After a lively warm-up, a class concentrating on toning exercises for total body conditioning. The use of weights or weighted bars and resistancebands are an optional extra.
Cycle & Pump – Group Cycle with a difference – optional use of hand weights for the ultimate workout.
Cycle & Tone – 20 minutes of Group Cycle, followed by abs and toning exercises. an easy-to-follow, high intensity fusion of Boxing, Cardio, Dance & Sculpting set to the hottest beats from all decades.
HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) – Concentrated bursts of cardio exercises for intense calorie burn followed by recovery periods to achieve optimum results.
Hi Lo – A class that offers an energetic Hi impact (jumping about) and Lo impact(at least one foot on the ground) aerobic session, with toning exercises,to target specific body areas.
Hydro Power – A water based energetic class using a variety of exercises to target every area of your body, with your weight supported in the water.
Kettlebells – An exciting physical class using Ketllebells for an all over body work -out.
Kettle HIIT – High Intensity Interval training incorporating the use of Kettlebells for a total body blitz.
Konga – An easy-to-follow, high intensity fusion of Boxing, Cardio, Dance & Sculpting set to the hottest beats from all decades.
Mindfulness The word ‘mindfulness’ is a term used to describe a method of thinking and noticing thought itself. This class introduces many facets of mindfulness, including meditation, relaxation, self-observation and lifestyle issues.
MS Class – A class run by 2 qualified instructors for people with Multiple Sclerosis.
Phase IV – Phase IV cardiac rehabilitation, classes run especially for those suffering with heart problems or recovering from a heart attack. Ask reception for details prior to attendance.
Pilates – Pilates seeks to increase strength, flexibility and control of the body, concentrating on core (torso) muscles and breathing. A gentle form of exercise concentrating both body and mind.
Power HIIT / Express Power HIIT – The ultimate cardio and strength work out, not for the faint -hearted.
Senior Circuit – This class involves a combination of resistance training and cardiovascular(aerobic) work, in a circuit style, which is easy to follow and targets strength building, as well as muscular endurance, specifically designedfor senior members.
Step – An energetic, calorie burning, aerobic class, using a step to perform choreographed routines.
Total Body Blitz – A whole body toning and conditioning class, using weights, steps and kettlebells.
Triple Challenge – Step, strength and toning – a brilliant all round work out, something for everyone.
Tums, Bums & Thighs/BLT – After a lively warm up, toning exercises to concentrate on those problem areas!
Yoga– Performing Yoga poses and breathing techniques concentrates on improving circulation and stimulating the internal organs which can result in better general health. Working on flexibility and relaxation, Yoga is suitable for all levels of fitness.
Zumba – A Latin style, dance-based aerobic workout, with exciting, uplifting music and simple choreographed moves.
